City to City Inverness to Edinburgh We leave Inverness heading south through Cairngorm National Park. Depending on your priorities we have a choice of visits on the route south. You can undertake a tour and taste at Dalwhinnie Distillery (the highest distillery in Scotland), or you can visit the majestic Blair Castle & Gardens, home to the Duke of Atholl. Then we have free time in the lovely town of Pitlochry, perhaps for shopping, or perhaps a visit to the Heathergem Jewellery Centre. We resume our journey south, visiting Dunkeld on the banks of the River Tay (and one of Scotland’s most perfectly preserved historic towns). We will cross the County of Fife, passing Loch Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. We will cross the famous Forth Bridges, on our final run in to Edinburgh.
